Removal boxes
Packing yourself? Start with proper boxes. We supply sturdy, double-walled removal boxes in Huddersfield, delivered to your door, and some come free with every full house move.
It's tempting to pack a move in whatever cardboard you can scrounge from the supermarket, but flimsy, mismatched boxes are slow to pack, awkward to stack and prone to collapsing at the worst moment. Purpose-made removal boxes are double-walled, a consistent size so they stack and load neatly, and strong enough to protect what's inside, which makes the whole move faster and safer.
We supply the sizes that do the work: standard boxes for everyday items and books, and larger boxes for light bulky things like bedding and cushions. Tape comes with them. We don't stock the consumable side, so packing paper, bubble wrap and wardrobe cartons are yours to buy, and our packing materials guide is an honest account of what is worth having and what is not. The exception is our packing service: book that and we arrive with everything the job needs.
If you're booking a full house move with us, some free boxes are delivered as part of your quotation, along with some tape. We work the quantity out when we quote, based on the property and what's in it, so it reflects your move rather than a standard bundle. Need more than that, or buying for a self-pack move? Just ask and we'll sort it out.
Not sure how many you need? Our packing calculator works it out room by room in about thirty seconds, and it will probably tell you the kitchen needs more than you had planned for. It always does. If you want to understand the sizes first, our guide to removal box sizes explains what each one is for and why double wall matters.

Yes. If you are packing yourself we deliver some free boxes, the quantity worked out when we quote and set out in your quotation, plus some tape. Extra boxes can be bought if you want a bigger buffer. On a packing service we bring all the materials instead.
It depends far more on the kitchen and how long you have lived there than on the number of bedrooms. Our packing calculator works it out room by room, and an average three-bed house usually lands somewhere around 70 to 90 boxes across all sizes.
Standard boxes for everyday items and books, and larger boxes for light bulky things like bedding. Wardrobe cartons are not part of the free boxes, so buy those separately if you are packing yourself and want clothes to travel on their hangers.
Yes. Get in touch and tell us roughly how many and what sizes and we'll sort the boxes out, or if you would rather not wait, the packs on our removal box sizes page are the same double-wall specification we use. We sell boxes and tape only, so paper, bubble wrap and wardrobe cartons will need buying elsewhere.
Yes. Boxes that come with a full move are delivered to your door, and we can deliver purchased boxes locally too.
Packing paper for the bulk of it and bubble wrap for the specific fragile pieces. Those are not part of the free boxes, so see our packing materials guide for what to buy, and our delicate items page for the pieces that need real care.
